FOOTHOLD.

Know the market before the opportunity becomes obvious.

Foothold researches potential buyers beyond your pipeline, monitors priority accounts and develops conversations only when there is a substantiated reason to engage.

THE FOOTHOLD STANDARD

We monitor the market.
We don't chase it.

A named purchasing hypothesis is stronger than a project headline. Technical fit, the buyer route and authorisation determine whether it merits contact.

THE PRINCIPLE

We establish relevance, monitor what changes and engage only when the evidence and agreed controls justify contact.

CONTINUITY, NOT VOLUME

The account stays in view. The decision can change.

How does commission work?

Only documented Registered Opportunities expressly accepted by the client are commissionable. The 24-month window begins on each opportunity’s written acceptance. Unrelated orders, pre-existing opportunities and uncommitted framework ceilings are excluded. Commission is invoiced proportionally as the client receives qualifying payments, even if payment occurs later.

What happens after the minimum?

Four paid subscription months are the initial contractual minimum (plus calibration). The client can opt out of continuation at any time up to the end of month four. After that, the subscription continues monthly, terminable with 30 days’ notice aligned to a monthly billing period.

Are there additional charges?

Client-specific infrastructure, extra research capacity and other charges require prior approval. Any applicable VAT and approved extras are identified separately.

What if results take longer?

Progress is accountable through written weekly decisions and monthly priority reassessment. Opportunities without new evidence for two monthly cycles are reviewed for reallocation. Buyer responses and contract awards are not guaranteed, and Foothold does not manufacture outreach activity.

Are meetings or calls part of the service?

No. Foothold is a fully asynchronous subscription. Research, written weekly decisions, monthly priorities and approvals are handled electronically, with no calls or meetings required or included.

How is our existing pipeline protected?

Before active development, the subscriber supplies its pre-existing opportunities and any proposed account-level exclusions in a written schedule. Named opportunities are commissionable only after specific documented evidence and express written acceptance; existing business is not automatically captured.

05 / FROM EVIDENCE TO MANDATE

02 / THE NON-OBVIOUS ROUTE

Start with the panel builder, not the water company.

utility programme owner has already awarded its MCC framework. panel builder A is one appointed partner, and its own product literature explicitly lists third-party Form 2 enclosure systems among panel-build examples.

That establishes a relevant historical external-enclosure category, not a live purchasing requirement or an incumbent weakness. The commercial test is whether an alternative bespoke enclosure can meet a specific, current technical or delivery need.

Commercial filter: the existence of a framework award is not a reason to contact all six suppliers. Unverified sourcing and in-house capabilities change the priority, not just the wording of an email.
04 / THE ECONOMIC TEST

Would the mandate pay for itself?

At an illustrative 30% incremental contribution margin and a 1% commission on the qualifying order, approximately £86k of genuinely incremental signed-and-collected sales would cover a £25k initial commitment before other incremental costs.

Calculation: £25,000 ÷ (30% − 1%) ≈ £86,207. Scenario only; not a forecast, pipeline value, win probability or claim about A&T's margins. Actual contribution and contract scope must be confirmed.

05 / EXECUTIVE DECISION

Authorise research. Not outreach.

Priority: validate the panel builder A component-buying route, currently approved enclosure brands, substitution criteria, commercial fit and procurement ownership. Check related panel-builder group's buying structure before treating related entities separately.

Release gate: no buyer approach until the manufacturer confirms capability, a relevant requirement is evidenced and the subscriber authorises contact. No quantified pipeline or paid subscription recommendation is established by this public extract.
